MKT 360 Services Marketing

Services are a major component to the global economy, accounting for more than two-thirds of global gross domestic product (GDP) and more than three-quarters of all foreign direct investment globally (OECD, n.d.). Currently, services well out-pace manufactured goods not only in the United States but in many foreign markets as well, making it a topic that marketers should concentrate on in order to remain competitive and sustainable moving forward. Today, services not only include organizations like hospitals, banks, insurance companies, and educational institutions, but it also remains a component of many companies that produce and sell manufactured goods. This class will prepare students for dealing with the service component of any business no matter what the business supplies to customers.
