NUR 403 Health Promotion Across Lifespan in the Community
This clinical course introduces the student to community health nursing addressing the areas of health promotion and disease prevention across the lifespan. A major focus of this clinical course is for students to critically think about and discuss the role of community health care nurse within a global environment. Nursing students will be exposed to culturally diverse populations, health disparities that exist and some of the efforts by individuals, groups, and organizations to address the disparities. In addition, students will be provided with information and tools that nurses can use to confront health and health care challenges.
