CHE 430 Biochemistry

A study of the compounds and mechanisms associated with the chemistry of living organisms. Emphasis is placed upon the properties of proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, and nucleic acids. Additional consideration is given to the major metabolic pathways and protein synthesis. May be taken concurrently with CHE 331 and 331L. Three hours lecture per week.
