HIS 340 The Wild West

The Wild West is a journey through a transition from early to modern America through the history of what is known as the “Wild West.” This course evaluates the many changes, ups, downs, and remarkable characters and events of that time period. God raises up kings and brings them down (Daniel 2:21), and this class looks at the people--unknown, famous, and infamous--who made their mark on the plains and in the mountains and deserts of the American West. This course examines social, cultural, religious, military, intellectual, economic, and philosophical history of the period.
