English, Bachelor of Science in Education
The major for the Bachelor of Science in Education requires 45 semester hours.The program is designed to prepare students to become teachers of English in high schools or middle schools. Students receive a broad, well-rounded foundation in the field of English, with coursework that includes instruction in writing, literature, linguistics and literary theory. Students also receive instruction in educational pedagogy, classroom management, learning theory, and assessment.
