Textbooks
(Policy 2.20)
Every textbook and course material used at Blue Mountain Christian University should be appropriate to the course in which it is used; it also must be judged appropriate to the mission of Blue Mountain Christian University as a Christian institution. The primary responsibility for the selection and ordering of textbooks and required course materials rests with the professor, subject to review by the Department Chair and the Provost/Vice President. A list of required course materials and ISBN numbers will be available to students via the Blue Mountain Christian University website at www.bmc.edu. However, the University requires versions of texts provided through sources that are not available to students at a cheaper price such as Vital Source and Cengage Unlimited. In all cases, the University selects the least costly option for all textbooks and course materials. Students are charged a course material fee per course which enables the student to download the textbook in Canvas the first day of class. In cases where an eBook is unavailable, the University will order a print copy of the book for the student.
